The Challenge

Archoral, a platform dedicated to preserving family histories, faced the challenge of creating a user-friendly interface for its complex family tree feature, with various relation types, genders, and large amounts of data.

The Solution

Genealogy is often a deeply personal endeavor, requiring a sensitive and respectful user experience. The interface needed to be easy to navigate, even for users unfamiliar with genealogy software.

Key design elements included:

Card-Based Design

Each family member was represented by a card, containing essential information and actions.

Color-Coding

Different genders and relation types were assigned distinct colors for easy identification.

Dynamic Navigation

A floating navigation feature allowed users to seamlessly move between different parts of the family tree.

Detailed Profiles

Profiles within the family tree were carefully structured to provide comprehensive information about each individual.

By prioritizing simplicity, clarity, and inclusivity, Tentackles was able to create a UI that transformed Archoral into a more accessible and engaging platform for preserving family histories.
