Fostering Collaborative Workflows and User-Centricity on the Family Archiving and Genealogy Platform

About the project

Tentackles initiated an extensive usability testing phase, meticulously examining and evaluating user interactions and workflows within the Archoral platform. The focal point was on assessing the dynamics of multi-user collaborations, specifically within genealogical and research tasks.

Why usability testing?

The essence of the platform lies in fostering collaborative efforts among users spanning different age demographics. To comprehensively understand and enhance user experiences, usability testing became pivotal, requiring a nuanced comprehension of diverse user approaches in executing tasks and interactions.

What Tentackles did?

Tentackles crafted intricate and realistic task-based scenarios, facilitating the observation of users undertaking various roles within the platform’s ecosystem. The process involved actively engaging with users, addressing their queries, and thoroughly evaluating the completion of assigned tasks. The meticulous evaluation effectively pinpointed areas necessitating improvements, particularly in the organization and dissemination of diverse sets of data.

How it helped the project

The thorough usability testing regimen unveiled comprehensive insights into the nuanced ways users navigated through tasks within the platform. These insights were instrumental in optimizing data management methodologies and streamlining task completion. Leveraging these insights gathered from diverse user groups, Tentackles successfully guided and influenced the implementation of enhanced research procedures and fortified task-tracking measures, significantly benefiting the platform.
